So why do we love pizza so much? There are a lot of theories on how pizza became so popular. From the ancient Romans to the Neapolitan tradition originating in Italy and made popular by immigrants coming from those parts, the answer is pretty simple: PIZZA IS AWESOME! Its taste is just wonderful and beyond comparison with anything else. But there’s more. A pizza has got health benefits too.

It’s low in carbs, high in protein and has a variety of vitamins and minerals. It can satisfy you with its taste, it can energise you with its calories and can strengthen you with its nutrients!

Pizza can be even more healthy for you if you know what toppings you are putting on the pizza and how to eat it. For example, spinach, olives and tomatoes are healthy toppings but if you add too many, it might make your pizza less healthy. When you make pizza at home, there are lots of ways to make it healthier for yourself, including using gluten-free or vegan dough. Pizza can also be made with vegetables that have been marinated or cooked in olive oil instead of being fried. For example, you could use zucchini slices as your crust instead of using dough. The end result will still taste great! Other than that, a lot of people like to add healthful ingredients like avocado or kale to their pies.
